Senator Ged Nash put forward the ‘Industrial Relations bill’ which would have forced employers to the table to collective bargaining for rights in low paid sectors such as hospitality as they are currently ignoring that this is already set out in law, but voluntary. Unfortunately the bill fell but since then another JLC has been created so hopefully this media will encourage the hospitality sector to come to the table also.
